Our Windsor Settees
Welcome
to the latest editions in our line of Windsor chairs; the Connecticut
Windsor Settee circa 1770-1790
delineated by its two separate, shaped
seats and the New England Windsor Settee
(circa 1760-1790) distinguished by its continuous, plank bottom
seat. The settee is the "extinct" Windsor chair as very few of these
original settees are in existence today. We decided to revive the
settee in keeping with our authentic chair style. You will see many
similarities to the Sackback Windsor chair, in fact the Windsor
Settee was commonly called the sackback settee. Most of the settees
throughout history seated two. Our Windsor Settees serve both function
and form and are at home at your dining table or in a quiet corner
of your room.
